LIHTI
Please note that both Google and Yahoo maps give an incorrect location for the Long Island High Technology Incubator (LIHTI); see below for correct location/directions (also at http://www.lihti.org/map-directions.html ). Also note that there are 2 entrances to Stony Brook University EAST campus where LIHTI is located (and 3 entrances to WEST campus). Directions at (http://www.sunysb.edu/sb/directions.shtml) and campus maps at (http://www.stonybrook.edu/sb/maps.shtml) are also not totally accurate but may be useful guidance. The map above, of LIHTI and parking lots, is accurate.
From the South: L.I.E. I-495 to exit 62 North (Rt. 97 - Nicolls Road - to Stony Brook) Travel 9 miles. Cross over Route 347 (Nesconset Hwy). Turn right at the South Entrance to the East Campus of Stony Brook University(Health Sciences Drive). Follow this road past the University Hospital and the large hospital parking facility (both on your left). Go past the LIHTI main entrance, (also on your left) and park in lot shown on map below (on the left after the curve in road). Please do not park in other lots which are only for LIHTI tenants. Instead, go past LIHTI and park in the lot on the left just before you reach the traffic light at Nicolls Road. (If you reach Nicolls Rd., you have gone too far). There should be a temporary sign at the entrance to this parking lot indicating that this is the parking area for the SBDC workshops; it is easy to miss so proceed slowly. There is a walkway from the parking lot to the front entrance of LIHTI.
From the North: Rt. 25A to Nicolls Road (County Road 97) and go south for approx. one-half mile. Turn left onto Health Sciences Drive (follow the blue "H" sign on Nicolls Road that guides you to turn left onto Health Sciences Drive). You will see a Stony Brook University - East Campus sign at this entrance. After the house on your right, look for the parking lot on your right. There should be a temporary sign at the entrance to the parking lot indicating that this is the parking area for the SBDC workshops; it is easy to miss so proceed slowly. There is a walkway from the parking lot to the front entrance of LIHTI.
